Bald Eagles Train To Snatch Drones

Police in the Netherlands are welcoming a North American alien to fight back against a modern technological device: drones. Dutch law enforcement is training bald eagles to snatch hostile or threatening drones. A recent security exercise exposed the dangers the unmanned flying objects can pose. They are also too small to be repelled with weapons. With some exaggeration, we may say shooting them down would be akin to using a cannon to kill a fly. Perhaps stretching the point, we may venture that police in the Netherlands are simply applying ancient wisdom to new challenges. For what else is this but the regal sports of falconry applied to law enforcement? Dutch police expect the eagles to be drone-ready within six months. The birds will show the little artificial intruders who owns the air. Is this Nature hitting back at Technology?
