Netflix will no longer turn a blind eye, and it explains why

With the many good things that come with technology so do the restrictions. One of the most annoying ones is the inability of Netflix subscribers to watch shows abroad, which has led some to use proxies or VPNs to get around. The company acknowledged the problem: “If all of our content were globally available, there wouldn’t be a reason for members to use proxies or ‘unblockers’ to fool our systems into thinking they’re in a different country than they’re actually in.” Netflix went on to explain that it eventually expects to make all content available to all members everywhere but, in the meantime, as licensing is done by geography. “In the meantime, we will continue to respect and enforce content licensing by geographic location.” That means you will have to turn on your local TV or get a good book, but Netflix no longer will turn a blind eye.
